I can perfectly understand that colleagues in the US, Asia and the Pacific feel frustrated that all our meetings have been uniformly in Europe. We should have pressed for more international venues much earlier than Salzburg but, frankly, it never occurred to me. </div>

A zooarchaeologist colleague, Lisa Dugas, is putting together a<br>
proposal for a new Zooarchaeology and Bone Technology Interest Group<br>
(ZBTIG) for the Society for American Archaeology. She is soliciting<br>
signatures from colleagues who are SAA members and who would be<br>
interested in participating in this working group. It will be a free<br>
group that will meet once a year at the SAA meeting to exchange<br>
information about zooarchaeology and bone technology research and issues.<br>
<br>
Lisa has provided a simple form to sign that says you are an SAA<br>
member and plan to participate in the group. I've put the form online<br>
at the link below (Word doc) If you're at all interested, please sign<br>
it and send it to Lisa.<br>
