It will be really useful for my researches, as I'm currently working on the 5th c. AD bone workshop found at Petra. As far as I know, there are very few changes in the techniques since the upper periods, except regarding the tools and the use of metal. <br>

<p class="MsoNormal">Thank you Haskel!<br>It is interesting. I'm working on the publication of an early Islamic (Abbasid) bone tools workshop we discovered in Jerusalem this year. At first glance it seems we have reached the same conclusions regarding the technology, as we defined the same stages in the<i> chaine operatoire</i> as you did in your article. It will be interesting to see the changes in production technique from the 9th cent BC to the 9th cent AD, if there are any.<br>
