<div dir="ltr"><div>I can not think of anything exactly similar from the Eastern Empire or Levant. </div>
<div>I might hazard a guess of Egyptian iconography - the figure might be a representation of Bes. The shape of the head and the expression on the face seems to fit, and so is the head cover that looks like a crown of feathers. Yet the general posture of the body does not, and I cant figure out from the picture where the hands rest. The birds also does not look exactly like the Egyptian hawks and falcons of the period (They usually have the tail and tip of the wings touching the ground). The pointy shoes also puzzle me...</div>

<div>As far fetched as it might sound, I would maybe suggest looking further east, to Persian iconography.</div>
