<P DIR=LTR><SPAN LANG="en-us"><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">This interesting tool does not seem sharp enough to be an awl or a needle (although we don't have a section here). The fixing/tying hole + 2 depressions show it is part of a complex tool. What about one of several teeth of a medieval hay-fork or winnowing-fork? At least in the Levant they are very common (but made of wood).</FONT></SPAN></P>
