<div>My friend, the former ownr of the 15 year old bone comb, keeps her long haair in a bun. She really used the comb in th old days for neatening her hair in the morning and cleaning it after work in the fields. It occurs to me that her mother's comb would have been of interest because her hair is long and very thick. That would mak a difference in degree of wear as well. There is actually a long-hair society in the States. I wonder whether it would be an interesting and useful experimen to look for people to use their combs in a natural way (assuming these are al hair combs. we could at least provide horn, bone and antler combs and both double sided simple and double sided complex. It might be a fun experiment to run for five years however it would require people to mak the combs and alot of coordination between all of us to do it properly.</div>
