Dear WBRG members,

Marta Daróczi-Szabo sent me a request about a medieval artefact found in Hungary, which is now online as bonetool of the month:
https://www.wbrg.net/bonetool-of-the-month-archives/ <https://www.wbrg.net/bonetool-of-the-month-archives/>
Marta would like to request anybody, who has suggestions about the function of the artefact or knows comparative finds to get in touch with her via martidsz at gmail.com <mailto:martidsz at gmail.com>.

Alice Choyke has submitted a WBRG session proposal for the upcoming ICAZ conference in Vancouver, Canada 2027 (17.–22. May 2027), which has been accepted recently. The session is entitled "The case of the missing waste bone data: Workflow gaps in recognizing hard osseous manufactured material“. The session shall be a brain-storming opportunity with the aim of producing a reference book to help faunal analysts recognize waste bone from manufacturing. We are looking for papers from people who have found solutions to this common problems as well as hearing from specialists who are still wrestling with the problem.
The sessions has its own page on the WBRG website now and is mentioned on the news and meetings pages:
