Dear colleagues,
following Alice’s sad news about Francois Poplin’s passing away, announced by Mariana Mondini in the ZOOARCH mailing list yesterday, I would like to forward a link to Francois Poplin’s huge list of publications, which was posted into ZOOARCH by Philippe Migaud also yesterday. It contains a large number of papers relevant ot our research group:
https://archeozoo-archeobota.mnhn.fr/fr/annuaire/francois-poplin-8848
I was lucky to meet him at the ICAZ conference in Paris 2010 and we had some longer discussions there, followed by sporadic but regular mail correspondences since then. As Ariane Burke already mentioned, he was one of the persons who greatly enhanced the visibility of archaeozoological research worldwide. So sad, that he will not be able to take part in the upcoming WBRG meeting. He certainly would have enjoyed that.
With kind regards.
Christian
