Dear WBRG members,
this month’s bonetool is in fact not a real „bone“ tool since the artefacts shown have been made from ostrich eggshell. They have been kindly provided by Burkhard Weishäupl from Innsbruck, who collected them during archaeological surveys at different places in Lybia and Algeria. They also comprise once more artefacts from Africa, which is a region still underrepresented on the WBRG website. see here for more details

Marianne Christensen and Nejma Goutas have put the conference website for the 15th Meeting in Paris in May 2024 online.
The website can be accessed at
https://wbrg-2024.sciencesconf.org/?forward-action=index&forward-controller=index&lang=en <https://wbrg-2024.sciencesconf.org/?forward-action=index&forward-controller=index&lang=en>
To allow the organisers to get an overview of the number of participants planning to attend the meeting and to enable them to better target requests for funding, quotes and other purchases, Marianne and Nejma invite all of you intending to take part in the meeting to fill in the pre-registration form as soon as possible and no later than 15/08/2023 (it will take only about 2-3 minutes of your time!).
The form is available through this link:
framaforms.org/wbrg-2024-may-15th-wbrg-international-meeting-1686178595 <http://framaforms.org/wbrg-2024-may-15th-wbrg-international-meeting-1686178595>
No payment is required at this stage.
The information given on the conference page is now also available on the WBRG website on a new page for the Paris meeting at

I recently realised that some links to publications of WBRG members stored on the WBRG website for download were out of order. This was a result of the shift of the content management system to WordPress in 2017, which I did not notice. All these links are now repaired, the pdfs are accessible again. In particular this refers to the following publications:
