 Dear Christian and Alyssa,

Thank you for this nice object. I would like to add to Christian's list, that a number of 10th-13th century bone anvils were found in Hungary. I am attaching the paper.
Best wishes,Erika

 Dear list members,
as this month’s bonetool Alyssa Semenova, Ian Riddler and me have chosen a Greek to Roman time bone anvil from Olbia, Ukraine. See here: https://www.wbrg.net/bonetool-of-the-month-archives/It is from a worked bone assemblage currently analysed by Alyssa Semenova. I would like to see a lively discussion and support for Alyssa's research. You can reach her via semenovaalise at gmail.com. Networking and cooperation helps.
I recently realised that the proceedings of the 7th WBRG meeting in Wroclaw were not accessible anymore because the Wroclaw University had changed it’s website structure. # Baron, Justyna & Kufel-Diakowska, Bernadeta (2011): Written in Bones. Studies on technological and social contexts of past faunal skeletal remains, WroclawThe volume is now available for download at the following URLhttps://archeo.uni.wroc.pl/Instytut-Archeologii/Publikacje/Wydawnictwa-zwarte/Written-in-BonesThe links to the book have been repaired. Previously there were also download links to the individual papers within the book. Justyna is currently checking where these files have been moved. If they are still available somewhere I will repair the links asap.
Marianne Christensen hast informed me that her laboratory has changed its name and logo. It’s new name is TEMPS (Technologie et Ethnologie des Mondes Préhistoriques), formerly Ethnologie préhistorique. TEMPS is kindly supporting the WBRG website financially. The lab is now accessible via https://umrtemps.cnrs.fr/. I have updated links and logo to TEMPS (See https://www.wbrg.net and https://www.wbrg.net/impressum/).
Back in 2001 a colloquium was organized by Marylène Patou-Mathis, Pierre Cattellain and Denis Ramseyer at the 14th congress of the Union Internationale des Sciences Préhistoriques et Protohistoriques (UISPP) in Liège, Belgium. Information about this meeting and its proceedings is now presented on an own page athttps://www.wbrg.net/colloquium-2001-liege/
