[Bonetools] Help identifying tool

Dear Imola,

Thank you for providing the pictures.

Your piece looks to me as the back side of a broken (or reworked) Mattock-head (Early Mesolithic)
from a large cervid antler (red deer or elk) as it shows an osseous tissues which the cortical ring is cleary delimited around the spongy core. Perforation technique is also remarkable.
Will try to provide with some litterature when it will be possible to work back at the office.

Dear everyone,
A friend of mine asked for help, they're trying to ID some old inventory pieces in their museum.

Have you seen anything like the tool in the pictures attached? I can see it is made of antler, but could you help in identifying its function and/or the time period most probably used in?
I hope it's familiar to some of you!
