Dear WBRG members,

this month's bonetool is an object that nicely shows the possible life history of an artifact: a late 19th or early 20th century toothbrush converted by Inuit in the Canadian Arctic into a meat fork:

# Natascha Mehler (University of Tübingen) informed me about the Gothic Ivories Project, a database of Western European ivory sculptures created in the time between 1200-1530 AD.
The website http://www.gothicivories.courtauld.ac.uk/ <http://www.gothicivories.courtauld.ac.uk/> is now included on the Various Links page at https://www.wbrg.net/links/various-links/.

# Marloes Rijkelijkhuizen, Jørn Zeiler and Joyce van Dijk are developing an online database for bone artefacts found in the Netherlands entitled "Voorwerpen van been en gewei". The database includes more than 11.000 entries at present. It is not online yet, but will be accessible soon at https://www.archeoplaneco.nl/artefacten.html <https://www.archeoplaneco.nl/artefacten.html>.

While adding the new links to the directory, I realised that several links are out of order. These have been removed now from the list, but the following just changed their address:

# The Musée de la Tournerie in Lavans les Saint Claude, France, is now accessible at
https://www.saint-claude-haut-jura.com/musee-de-la-tournerie.html <https://www.saint-claude-haut-jura.com/musee-de-la-tournerie.html>

# Peter's Scrimshaw Museum on the Azores has moved to
https://www.petercafesport.com/museu/ <https://www.petercafesport.com/museu/>

# The Ivory Identification Guide of the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service Forensics Lab moved to
https://www.fws.gov/lab/ivory.php <https://www.fws.gov/lab/ivory.php>

I will check and repair the bone workers directory next month.
