Dear Worked Bone Research Group,

as this months bonetool I chose something contemporary and a nice example of crossing cultures. Edith Diewald, a friend of mine from Bremen, is making and playing Ngonis, a West African string instrument. For her latest models she used cattle bones as string leads and I suggested her to write a little blog about this. There are also some examples of music made with Ngonis.
