[Bonetools] Identification & Reference assistance

Dear Jennifer,
Such objects are usually explained as belt divider, bead separator or even a weaving tablet. One example (also not complete) was found in Caesarea, Israel. It did not originate in a dated locus but is probably of the Roman/Byzantine/Early Islamic period (1st-11th cen.). see:

I have been advised that the attached item might be a bead-separator (it is also incomplete).  I have not seen one like this, and overall I am having difficulty finding references to assist in its identification/interpretation.



If anyone has any suggestions regarding it's functional identification or of references useful to its analysis I would be greatly appreciative.
