Hello James,

Many thanks for thinking of me and this looks like an excellent day. Unfortunately we are booked
solidly at the moment with oceans of work everywhere and we are likely to be back in Dublin yet
again at the time. Archaeology has resumed in Dublin itself once again and we will be recording
objects from two separate sites. We are also finishing off work on Dublin Castle Phase 1, the pre-
Castle levels, which will almost certainly turn out to be the first central Dublin site to be fully
published, years if not decades ahead of the NMI sites (which may never make it at all).

I am definitely hoping (like others, it seems) that it turns out to be a very successful day and is
therefore repeated, giving me another chance to attend ! It is bound to be very valuable to
everybody.

I will mention it now to a few people and they can take their chances at attending, if there are
still spaces available.

Many thanks once again,

IanR

Dear all,

Just a note to say there are two places left for the Ivory Identification 2018 workshop (21
September):

https://www.mcdonald.cam.ac.uk/events/ivoryident2018

You would need to sign up by Monday however.

Best wishes,

James
