[Bonetools] strange chalcolithic objects

Hello Selena,

I have seen nothing similar of that date from England but I am aware of several bone rods from
Anglo-Saxon England and, if nothing else, they widen the range of possibilities for these things to
stamps for ceramics, gaming pieces and oracle rods. In the end, we still don't know what they are.
Here is my text on them from the forthcoming Ipswich volume.

They don't look anything like textile tools, which tend to be robust, pointed at one end (at least)
and highly polished. And they are nothing like fishing gorges (which are small and double-pointed).
But tools used with ceramics perhaps...

 Dear colleagues,

I hope you're all doing fine.

I have several strange objects from a Vučedol culture (final Chalcolithic /
early Bronze Age) site in Pannonia - 2 on photos in attachment. They are
all in shape of thin, short rods, they are complete, so they are not broken
pins or needles. Some are made from bone, some from antler, some have
incisions, some are just polsihed.

Any thoughts?

thank you!

best regards,
Selena
