people were the same as Scandinavians. My point is that your inscription 
could as  well be one written in runes- I  had not realised how similar 
the two alphabets are. I attach an illustration from a paper by a Danish 
runologist, Marie Stoklund in case you are not familiar with runes. I am 
sure I am not the first person to notice this, there is probably a large 
literature comparing them, and suggesting reasons for the coincidence of 
symbol- although most of them seem to represent different sounds. My 
initial thought on seeing your piece was that this  looked like a 
medieval Scandinavian object, but since it is a prehistoric Iberian  
artefact this must be a coincidence.
