As I think I may have mentioned, the tooth profile is not unlike that on
certain 'horse combs' from Scandinavia - can think of some Norwegian
examples, plus a few from burials at Birka. But to my knowledge use wear
analysis has not been done on these, and we are really in need of some good
experimental work and use wear analysis on this kind of material.
