[Bonetools] Fw: bone or ivory rosary bead

This delightfully ghoulish object came from a small excavation at Gloucester Cathedral recently. 
There are museum parallels for it but I wonder if anybody knows of examples recovered from 
excavations ? Would it have been part of an elaborate rosary ?
