Dear all,
Thanks so much for these comments, they're really helpful.
I'm trying to find out more info about the context and get better photos (and access to the pin itself) so will keep you posted. Interesting some thought it might be antler because that was my gut feeling too first time I saw it.
It's from a cairn that has early Bronze Age cremated remains in 3 cists, but I was led to believe this find was from higher up in the medieval contexts but I'm checking this out. The site is In north-East Wales, UK.
