Dear Alice,
Curators who like to glue objects together might delighted to know that
punching holes in them creates new opportunities to glue them back after
that -
The point in the third film is not a split-based point, it's a
fork-based point: this is also a two-pronged base but the manufacturing
technique is different (and the hafting probably as well) and the date
is much later. We got ca. 16,500 cal BP one this one and that was
actually slightly earlier than what we expected (I'd have said 16,000).
