Several of the bone disks held loosely together act as a rattle.

Yes, these are all parts of a baby's comforter/pacifier!
Found in Amsterdam dated to the 19th/20th century (with the rubber parts which are missing here)

Subject: [Bonetools] bone objects
Dear all,
Here are some bone rings found in Jaffa, Israel by the Israel Antiquities Authority in a context of - probably - the beginning of the 20th century. In that time Palestine was already rather modernized, especially a port city like Jaffa. The objects could have been imported, mainly the large ring.
Does anyone have any idea about the use of these rings, any parallels?
