I gave a paper "Deux cas de débitage des matières dures d'origine
animale" (1974), where I saw (partially) hippo ivory and even enamel
(ie. a lower canine) with sand and tendon (David's deer), then with sand
and string. Do you want I send you the paper, and you make a pdf for all
? It was to reproduce a so sawn tusk from predynastic Egypt kept at the
Musée des Antiquités nationales (Saint-Grermain-en-Laye).
More in a certain time ; I have something else to send now.
