[Bonetools] Bone object - textile manufacture?

Again, many thanks.  Ian I will pass this on to Erik. I don't actually know why Erik thinks that this object is related to textiles.  Dr Brooks has a background in textile history and conservation so perhaps the suggestion came from her rather than any known association between this object and evidence of textile manufacture. I will see if Erik can shed light on this.

Back to the perforated object,

Here is a proof from my contribution to the forthcoming Spong Hill volume IX about perforated mounts. The Spong example is likely to be of 5th century AD date but they are also found in LIA contexts in Scotland, amongst other places.
