the publication below might be of interest for somebody:

In 2007 the CNRS launched a research programme entitled “Improvement  
of conservation methods for archaeological bone material (ivory, bone  
and antler)” (ArBoCo). The proceedings of the International ArBoCo  
workshop towards a better understanding and preservation of ancient  
bone materials in Paris have now been published in the journal  
ArchéoSciences. See here:
