Hello, everyone,

I apologize for slow response. Here is the pdf - the texts in Serbian and English are the same, and I hope the title page is clear enough, however, if anyone needs any help, please, do not hestitate to ask.
Enjoy it!

P. S. And let me remind you that I am still collecting the registration data for WBRG next year chez moi!

I wish you all happy holidays, all the best, Selena

Dear Selena, many thanks for your reply. I am specially looking for information on « perforated beaver astragals » (see attachment, merowingian grave in Illfurth / F, Alsace). Nevertheless, I am very interested with your information on unmodified astragals in Slav Christian graves in the Balkans. They are welcome ! Thank you in advance. Best regards, Olivier.

Dear all, dear Olivier,

Are you looking for beaver astragals only or any perforated astragals? Because ungulate astragals (from sheep/goat, red deer and cattle) are quite common in Late Neolithic/Chalcolithic in central Balkans (Vinča culture), and some time ago we had a lively discussion here on bonetools on diverse usage of astragals across Europe.
If you're looking for medieval astragals only, I can send you reference for the presence of unmodified astragals in Slav Christian graves in central Balkans in approximately same time as your Viking examples.

best regards, Selena

Dear colleagues, a few years ago I got your help about a drilled Beaver astragalus (pendant). With the help of Heidi Luik, I learned that there were many data in Northern Europe, in Estonia, for example. Most of them are dated to the Viking period (9th-11th century). Do you know older data? And where ? Thank you in advance for your answers. Best regards, Olivier.
