Dear all,
I am glad that Herbert mentioned Heidi's Late Bronze Age projectile
points because that was my immediate impression of the shape proportions of
this projectile that I too suspect was made with metal tools. The shoulders
are a bit different but the hafting tang looks almost identical. There is
also an ancient article by Wolfgang Pape in one of the Camps-Fabre bone
tool volumes from the late 70s with many bone and antler projectile points
from all over Europe illustrated in it. It might be worthwhile looking at
it.
