[Bonetools] Bonetools Digest, Vol 85, Issue 12

The object indeed looks like metal keys, but appearance is not enough. Is it strong enough to be a key, which should cause a mechanic movement inside the lock? The teeth are circa 3 mm thick, and look at the broken end - the object is even narrower there than in the other part (which is why it broke there). It is not thick enough to resist any pressure.
Maybe it is some sort of "fence-like" decoration, e.g. on a musical instrument or a chest, etc.

Yes, it did look like a key form the start, and the Gostenčnik book was not at hand...

Thank you all, best regards,

Rosana

Hi,

I had the same idea, but without references. It looks like a fragment of key, very similar to many objects in iron.

Friendly,
