Dear colleagues,
Can anyone suggest publications which deal with the production of ivory
tools, especially those of walrus ivory? I am especially interested in
studies which explore (1) how the material's distinct form and structure
influenced a toolmakers' choice of manufacturing tools and techniques, and
(2) how these tools and techniques may have differed from those used to
work other types of osseous materials. Time period and culture are totally
open!

Thanks for your ideas, and my apologies for cross-posting.
Amy
