May we have a picture of the end on the left ?
Can you make a little cut in the cut/brake on the right, so as to see
the depth of the black ?

Your's.

I got this letter from Chiara Bianchi which I am very sure other people
will be interested in.

Alice

Dear Alice,

sorry if I write to you and not to all but I am not skilled and I am
afraid
to make some technical mistake sending to the bonetools list (if you
want
you can send this message to everybody)

Many years ago (1995) I worked about the roman bone hairpins (for my
thesis
in the University in Milano- Specializzazione in Archeologia) and I
wrote a
catalogue of the specimens found in Lombardy, North Italy, that was
published in a book "Spilloni in osso di et? romana. Problematiche
generali
e rinvenimenti in Lombardia".

Now there are many others works and this book is very old but I think
that
it could be usefull also if someone want to propose something new.

If you are interested I can send a copy of the book to you.

Thank you

Yours sincerely

Chiara Bianchi
