Dear all,

I have received an enquiry from a finds liaison officer at the Museum of
London, who does a lot of work with the "mudlarks" collecting material
from the River Thames foreshore. Just wondering if anybody could shed
any further light onto the form and affinities of this artefact. At the
moment she is thinking along the lines of a post-medieval arctic or
atlantic spear that may have "escaped" from an ethnographic collection
in London and ended up in the Thames. Any thoughts will be passed on to
Kathryn Creed and would be much appreciated.

All the best,

Ben Elliott
