Subject: Re: [Bonetools] pdf
Sir,
Thanks a lot for your article. It will be really useful for my researches,
as I'm currently working on the 5th c. AD bone workshop found at Petra. As
far as I know, there are very few changes in the techniques since the upper
periods, except regarding the tools and the use of metal.
Thank you again,
Cordially,
Bénédicte Khan.

Thank you Haskel!
It is interesting. I'm working on the publication of an early Islamic
(Abbasid) bone tools workshop we discovered in Jerusalem this year. At first
glance it seems we have reached the same conclusions regarding the
technology, as we defined the same stages in the chaine operatoire as you
did in your article. It will be interesting to see the changes in production
technique from the 9th cent BC to the 9th cent AD, if there are any.
Best regards
Ariel

Dear colleagues,
First thanks to Haskel and the team for sending us the PDF. Corneliu is
perfectly correct that many good articles disapea from our vie. I would
encourage all of you to send your bone tool references to the website. Where
legal, of course, it would be great if you could also send new articles to
the mailing list as well. Or better yet, send a link where they can be diwn
loaded so our archival space is not used up.
