Dear Marloes,
    there are references to these containers scattere here and there in the
literature. What part of the middle ages are you interested. Strictly
speaking Avar period (6-8th c. AD is your early Middle Ages and the
cntainers are present there as well. However there are late medieval
powderhorns which are somehow a different propositon.
    I can always used mages from you - as many as possible frankly. I am in
Spain at the moment and will only return on the 14th.
