[Bonetools] Object from river Thames

Hello Ronald and Christian
See attached.
L=107.4mm, W1=10.9mm tapering to W2=8.3mm at the pronged end, D1=8.4mm tapering
to, D2=5.6mm. Rectangular cross section but with rounded corners. Obliquely
sawn or chopped and then smoothed at the W1 end. 3 prongs, central prong has
smooth close texture, right hand (missing) prong has a hole into the structure
and a starburst pattern radiating out from this that seems part of the structure
of the material. Very fine grained structure. I actually wondered at the time
if it was bone or not, but this object was not my main aim ... so I took
measurements and some snaps for future reference, but I'm afraid I don't have
any ideas what it is.

Christian, please feel free to put these up on the WBRG website.
I would also be very interested in any thoughts people had.

Fiona

Hi Fiona,
Looking forwards to hearing from you. Can you also tell me what you
think your artifact is made of,because somebody else has contacted me to say in
their opinion my object couldn't be made of bone.

Best wishes,
                        Ron.
