[Bonetools] Rép. : Publication Nanterre

Dear Isabelle, dear collegues,

Regarding the Paris conference papers, I don't mind if some are to be translated in French or not (although I wonder why only SOME would be translated, not all of them?). What does bother me most is the fact that, again, only SOME papers may not be published, which implies a subjective selection process that we were not aware of.

Now, should this volume be published in the BAR International Series or on the web? Personnally I would prefer a printed version of the papers. However, I feel that our group (WBRG) has already produced quite many volumes with that publisher and perhaps we should look elsewhere for a an alternative publisher (but that could mean further delays, I know...). Also, a free publication on the web (in pdf format, for example) would allow for a larger audience and distribution of our papers, a question which should be taken into account.

Please do not hesitate to comment this message, and I strongly encourage other members to express their views on that matter (for those who have not yet done so) because a decision should be taken as soon as possible if we want to see this publication become a reality in a reasonable time lapse.

I would also like to offer my encouragements to the editors of the conference papers, knowing first hand that publishing an edited volume is very time consuming, it's a lot of work.

Regards,

Christian Gates St-Pierre
