[Bonetools] Fwd: question !

suggestions as to what this might be. We both agree this is made from wild
boar tusk but otherwise...?

 Chère Alice, j’ai rencontré hier Monsieur François Poplin. Je souhaitais
lui demander son avis au sujet d’un artefact en ivoire. L’objet (document
attaché) provient d’un site alsacien daté du Bronze final. Il est très
probablement réalisé dans une canine inférieure de sanglier (*Sus scrofa
scrofa*).  J’avais initialement pensé à un mors de cheval, puis écarté cette
idée en fonction des petites dimensions de l’objet.
