Dear Pawel,
     Hans-Christian Kuchelmann has written extensively about astragalus 
artifacts - they are quite irresistable. Here in Hungary we have numerous 
examples of lead filled caprinae astragali although I have never seen ones 
with numbers on any of the faces. I have also found them in medieval 
Byzantine levels at the site of Zetinli Bahce near Birecek in Turkey, close to 
the Syrian border.
