Dear Alice:
Did you mean for this message to go out to the whole mailing list? I just
wanted to let you know it had so you would know to be careful in the future.
How are you doing? I am probably driving Laszlo nuts with revisions of his
manuscript, but he shouldn't feel alone. I am sending this sucker off in
December no matter what! I am going to dance the jig and drink a whole
bottle of champagne when I wave bye-bye to it! I suspect BAR will get back
to me on a few things, but I can handle that.
Life is going pretty well, apart from the occasional collapses with vertigo,
but they are not on a daily basis. My work is coming along, but I should be
able to sail once the book is gone. Chris is being a real sweetheart and
is about to go off to Burma for a month anyway. I can't wait. Mother and I
will party, as will my girlfriends and I. The older I get the more I enjoy
the company of females and the less I enjoy males. I get tired of their
short-comings, I guess. And can empathize with those of my female friends
because they are the same as mine! I had a nice visit with Irene Good last
weekend when she came and gave a talk on European textiles in our bog body
series. That exhibit has really been a huge success. I will miss it, but
not all the public obligations that I have had because of it. I have given
nearly 30 tour and lectures!
How are you all doing? I am starting to get excited about going to Mexico
next year. I love it! Chris will join me at the end and we will spend a week
in the Yucatan . I have always wanted to do that. In June we are going to
Spain for a conference (his) and will travel for a week or so then. Then, I
will try to dig in KZ for a month or so, and then Mexico!! Whew--looks like
2006 is going to be even busier than this year.
Have to run and get a few more manuscripts squared away this morning. How is
your mom doing? When are you coming through again? In the spring?
Cheers,
Sandi
